As we step into Thanksgiving, I’m reminded that gratitude is not something we wait for. It’s something we fight for. Anyone can be thankful when life feels smooth, but it takes real faith to give thanks while you’re walking through the fire.

This season, I want to encourage you with something simple but powerful:
Thankfulness is warfare.

Every time you choose gratitude over bitterness, hope over fear, and praise over pressure, you’re pushing back the darkness. You’re declaring that God is still in control, even when parts of your life feel out of control. And you’re reminding your heart that the story isn’t finished.

Many of us have walked through valleys this year. Some of us are still in them. But even in the valley, God has been faithful. He has kept you. He has carried you. He has strengthened you when you felt empty. And the fact that you’re still standing today is evidence that His hand has never left you.

So this Thanksgiving, pause for a moment and look back. Where did God protect you? Where did He provide? Where did He bring clarity, healing, or breakthrough you didn’t even know you needed? Even the small things count. Even the quiet ways He held your life together when you were too tired to hold it yourself.

Let this be a season where we don’t just say “thank you, God” but where we live thankful.
Where gratitude becomes our posture. Where praise becomes our reflex. Where our hearts stay open to the good things God is doing even when the world feels chaotic.

Father, today we come before You with grateful hearts.
Not because everything in our lives is perfect, but because You are faithful in every season.

Thank You for carrying us through battles we didn’t have the strength to fight.
Thank You for the moments You protected us, provided for us, and guided us even when we didn’t see it happening.
Thank You for the people You placed in our lives, the doors You opened, and the healing You’ve begun in places we once thought were hopeless.

Lord, teach us to see Your hand in the big things and the small things.
Give us eyes to recognize Your goodness in the ordinary moments and the quiet blessings that often go unnoticed.

As we enter this Thanksgiving season, soften our hearts.
Remove anything that weighs us down.
Fill us with peace where there has been anxiety, joy where there has been heaviness, and hope where there has been discouragement.

Strengthen every person reading this.
Let them feel Your presence in a fresh way.
Surround their homes with Your love, their minds with Your clarity, and their spirits with Your rest.

We thank You for the past You’ve redeemed, the present You sustain, and the future You already hold.

Father, we give You all the glory and all the gratitude.
Keep us humble. Keep us faithful. Keep us close.
And let this community continue to be a place of healing, growth, and revival.
