Breaking Free

The freedom that comes from breaking free from the chains of self-seeking.

Picture this: For the longest time, I was caught in a never-ending cycle of chasing after my own desires, my own ambitions, my own needs. It was like I was stuck in a maze, constantly searching for something to fill the void within me.

But you know what? Somewhere along the way, I realized that the very thing I was seeking—whether it was success, validation, or material possessions—was also the thing that was holding me back from true fulfillment and joy.

That's when it hit me like a ton of bricks: Freedom doesn't come from getting what we want; it comes from letting go of the need to constantly seek it.

So, what am I doing to break free from self-seeking and embrace a life of true freedom?

Well, it starts with a shift in perspective—a willingness to let go of the ego-driven desire for more and instead focus on what truly matters.

I'm learning to find fulfillment in moments of connection, in acts of kindness, in the simple joys of everyday life. I'm prioritizing relationships over achievements, presence over productivity, and gratitude over greed.

But perhaps most importantly, I'm learning to surrender control and trust in God, my higher power—a power greater than myself. Whether you call it God, the universe, or something else entirely, I'm learning to let go and let it guide me on this beautiful journey.

And let me tell you, the freedom that comes from releasing the need to constantly seek validation and approval is unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's a sense of liberation, of lightness, of being truly alive in the present moment.

I am worthy of love and acceptance exactly the way I am. True freedom comes not from chasing after external validation, but from embracing the beauty of my own unique journey.

And hey, if you ever need a reminder that you're not alone on this path to freedom, just know that I'm here for you. Let's walk this journey together, supporting and encouraging each other every step of the way.

1st Annual LYF Golf Fundraiser

SEPTEMBER 12th 2024 AT THE NEUSE COUNTRY CLUB IN CLAYTON NC. Live Your Freedom presents our 1st annual Golf Fundraiser. You can register for the event at www.liveyourfreedom.org and email us at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Special musical guest will be Aaron Hamm and the Big River Band. Gates open to the public at 545pm and the band will be going on at 6pm. $20 cover charge for non-participants in the golf outing. 

There will be contests and prize auction!

We are currently looking for sponsors so if any local businesses or private parties would like to support us or help out with volunteering, please let us know. 

Sponsorship packages are listed on bottom right hand corner of the flyer below. All proceeds will be going for our outreach and Warpath Ministry for our work towards mental health, suicide prevention, and addiction.
